With the support of AWCPJ and TAF, two Japanese nonprofits advocating for animal welfare, Ichigo Bloom organizes on 30th November in Yotsuya, Tokyo, a special edition of the Biodiversity Collage, an innovative workshop to understand the causes and consequences of the biodiversity crisis. Experts from AWCPJ and TAF will also offer insights about animal welfare, and how this is connected to biodiversity protection.

Minami, a former HR and education specialist, pivoted to sustainability in 2022. Since then, her interpersonal communication skills have made her a top facilitator and trainer. Her energy and empathy make learning fun and impactful. Experience at a climate tech startup adds depth to her Climate Fresk and Biodiversity Collage workshops.
Maho Uehara
Executive Director, Animal Welfare Corporate Partners Japan
Maho Uehara studied “Animal Policy and Advocacy” at the Humane Society University’s graduate program in the United States. She joined The Humane League, a leading U.S.-based animal welfare organization, in 2017, playing a foundational role in establishing its Japan branch. In February 2024, she launched the nonprofit Animal Welfare Corporate Partners, where she now serves as Executive Director. Maho continues to advise major corporations on implementing animal welfare policies and sourcing cage-free eggs, helping businesses develop and sustain practices that align with animal welfare standards.
Miyabi Takano
Representative, TAF
Graduated from Azabu University in March 2023, [Speaker Name] began working as a public veterinarian in Kochi Prefecture in April 2023, where they provide livestock care and promote animal husbandry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they founded the student organization TAF, an initiative to explore animal welfare issues in livestock with students and veterinarians across Japan through online learning. The group continues to hold regular sessions, creating a platform for multifaceted discussions on animal welfare.
