Ichigo Bloom contributed in April 2025 to a large Climate Fresk event at Toyo University in Tokyo, welcoming 105 new students.
Universities and business schools globally, such as ESCP Business School in France, Imperial College London in the UK, and Duke University in the US have integrated the Climate Fresk into their programs. This interactive workshop fosters collaboration among students and ensures a foundational understanding of climate change — a critical global issue that influences all aspects of higher education.
In Japan, the Climate Fresk is gaining momentum, with Toyo University and The University of Tokyo leading the way, the latter driven by the student-led initiative UTokyo GXSN.

For the recent event at Toyo University, Ichigo Bloom’s experienced facilitators Mahi and Minami first trained six Toyo students to become facilitators. We then assisted in recruiting additional facilitators from our network, and joined on the day to facilitate some groups and provide guidance to the newly trained facilitators.
We look forward to collaborating with more universities and high schools across Japan. If you’re interested in bringing the Climate Fresk to your institution, let’s connect!
Special thanks to Charles Cabell at Toyo University for the coordination, and to Ichigo’s friends Mario, Mayu, Miya and Haruka who joined the facilitation squad!

Ichigo Bloom offers climate and biodiversity collaborative workshops such as the Climate Fresk and the Biodiversity Collage, to raise awareness and ignite change within organizations in Japan.
