Climate Fresk Japan is organizing a Generation 2 discovery session and a community meetup for the Climate Fresk Japan community in Tokyo. Ichigo Bloom is happy to support.

The afternoon has something for everyone. Already a trained facilitator? Come experience the new version as a participant and meet fellow facilitators in Tokyo. Not a facilitator yet, or just curious about what it involves? The networking session after the workshop is a chance to talk with people who run the Climate Fresk regularly and hear about their experience firsthand.
Four groups will run in parallel: two versions of the workshop (Science Focus and Discussion Focus), each available in English and Japanese.
- Science Focus: 42 cards tracing the full causal chain of climate change. For those who want a thorough grounding in climate science.
- Discussion Focus: 27 “Essential” cards (newly released) covering the key climate science, with more time for group reflection and action planning.

What is the Climate Fresk?
The Climate Fresk is a collaborative, card-based workshop built on IPCC science. In three hours, participants work together to map the causes and consequences of climate change, connecting cards into a coherent picture of the climate system. It’s hands-on, science-grounded, and designed to spark both understanding and action. Originally created in France, it has now reached over 160 countries and more than 2.3 million participants worldwide.
Generation 2 takes that foundation further. The new version is designed to develop three qualities in participants: lucidity on the climate situation, optimism grounded in what the IPCC shows is possible, and a concrete action plan to take away. If you experienced the original workshop, you’ll notice a stronger focus on solutions and a new action-planning method, the “Steps to Empowerment”, that has been generating a lot of enthusiasm in the global facilitator community.
About Climate Fresk Japan: Climate Fresk Japan is the Japanese chapter of the international Climate Fresk association. It connects and supports Climate Fresk facilitators across Japan, and coordinates public and professional workshops nationwide. Since March 2026, the chapter has been coordinated by Minami Shinohara and Stéfan Le Dû, both members of the Ichigo Bloom collective.
