Be Part of Japan’s Largest Climate Fresk | University of Tokyo, 10th November

As part of Alter COP29—a series of events in Southeast Asia and Japan running parallel to the UN’s COP29 climate conference—we’re organizing Japan’s largest Climate Fresk event in Tokyo this November! Our aim is to bring together 150 participants for a simultaneous, impactful climate education experience. Whether you’re an individual climate enthusiast or an organization, we invite you to be part of this record-setting event, at the University of Tokyo on 10th November.

Here’s your chance to learn about climate change through an engaging and fun workshop while contributing to a new record in Japan. Participate in this giant Climate Fresk, available in both English and Japanese, and help make history with us! Participation is entirely free of charge, thanks to the generosity of volunteer facilators and organizers from Ichigo Bloom, UTokyo GXSN, and the Climate Fresk Japan community.

About the Climate Fresk

The Climate Fresk is a globally acclaimed educational workshop that originated in France after COP21. It turns the complexities of climate science into a simple, engaging, and accessible format using a gamified, card-based approach. Built on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports—the same reports that guide global conferences like COP29—this workshop is ideal for everyone, from beginners to climate gurus.

AlterCOP29 is a regional initiative spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan, led by the non-profit organization The Matcha Initiative in collaboration with The Transmutation Principle.
